Who May Be Eligible for Hospice Care?
Hospice care is for any person who has a terminal illness or when curative treatment is no longer effective or desired. While the majority of referrals are cancer-related, hospice is by no means exclusively for cancer patients.
Patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), end-stage kidney failure, liver or lung diseases, Parkinson’s Disease, dementia, and Alzheimer’s can greatly benefit from hospice care.
